The premises is one of Ireland’s newest and most sophisticated office buildings and is now home to the global headquarters of Tyco, who are joined by a number of other prestigious tenants including PwC, Hortonworks, Malwarebytes, ARUP, Ardmore Shipping and Investec.

Starbucks will operate the ground floor cafe premises in the building.
The new outlet will be the seventh Cork city Starbucks outlet. They already have two units in Mahon, one in Douglas and three in the city centre following rapid expansion by the company in Ireland in recent years.

The three city centre units proved controversial with planners in Cork City Council stating the lacked the necessary permissions. Alterations have been made to the Patrick’s Street and Princes Street stores, while a planning decision is expected shortly on the Emmet Place outlet.

One Albert Quay, the six-storey office building, has become known as Ireland’s smartest building. It features some of the latest technology available globally such as destination-control lifts and an extensive building management system linking access-control, energy efficiency and real-time building data.
